to Beijing - Xian & Shanghai for 19 action packed days.
JCamps will be bringing to this tour its own special warmth
and programming ideas starting in Beijing, the Capital of
the People's Republic of China, where we spend 12 memorable days
at one of Beijing’s famous residential academies
followed by 3 days in Xian and ending our tour with 3 days in the vibrant city of Shanghai.

You will meet young Jews from around the world who will be joining us on this amazing trip which will include, excursions; Mandarin language school; Chinese cultural activities; art workshops; sports activities; and touring two other exciting Chineses cities.

LOCATION: We spend 12 memorable days in Beijing. Our campus is a leading co-educational private boarding and day school. The school boasts a RMB500 million campus and has a strong academic programme with classes taught in Chinese and English.

The residential campus with its beautiful grounds is located 15 kilometers away from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It covers a total area of almost 30 acres (12 hectares) with new first-rate facilities including an international standard soccer field, night-lit basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, swimming pool, gym, racetrack etc as well as a library and multi-function art classrooms. It’s designed to be an ideal campus. Accommodation will be on the campus in clean modern rooms each of which is shared by 4 students and are air-conditioned and each has an ensuite bathroom

SHABBAT & CUISINE
We believe Shabbat is an important time of the week. We will be having a Kabbala Shabbat service on Friday nights and an optional Saturday morning service. Whilst in Shanghai we hope to have the opportunity to meet members of the thriving Jewish community. Vegetarian food will be available throughout the China trip.

SECURITY
Our Director and JCamps staff will be accompanying the group throughout the programme to help our students feel comfortable and at ease.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
JCamps students will have the opportunity to join a group (dependent upon numbers leaving from London, New York and Tel Aviv and escorted to Beijing by one of our staff members making travel to and entry in to China a convenient experience. Students flying on their own will be met by JCamps staff, wearing our distinctive JCamps t-shirts at Beijing airport. Return home will be from Shanghai airport. Cost of airfares, which are not included in our price, are at the time of going to print around $1300 (arriving Beijing-departing Shanghai). Visas are essential and early application at your local Chinese embassy/consulate is recommended.
